Planning For Success

Recently my daughter had her fourth birthday!  As most of you moms understand, birthday parties are very important.  Each year we try to do something different.  This can be difficult, when you have a little girl who wants a pink, princess party, again!  But with the help of BizMom Connections, we put together a pink, princess party that was like no other.  It was without a doubt, a Fairy Tale to Remember!

This party had been on my mind a bit, when it hit me while sitting at a BizMom chapter meeting in Sarasota.  I was surrounded by help!  I had decided at that moment to use my BizMom , Connections to plan this event.  For years I have been saying, “Shop within the organization!  Look for ways to support your fellow BizMom members.”  It’s a fact that those who do this the best receive the most!  So here’s what I came up with…..

My party location was at Fairy Tales to Remember.  This was a no brainer!  They do parties and the owner, a BizMom member.  For this party, all guest wore a princess gown or a character costume, in which case, I had a Biz Mom photographer from Cooksey Keepsakes take individual photo’s of each child upon arrival.  Boy was this a good move.  The pictures were beautiful!  We included a photo for each child with his or her thank you card.  I used Stampin’ UP!  to create a very special packaging for our thank you photo’s.  All who received one was impressed!  For additional fun and entertainment, I invited Fun to Be FIT to perform with the kids.  Lastly, we provided our guest with a custom made crayon caravan by Keep em’ Clean and an eco friendly coloring book by the NotePatch!

Every last detail of this party was perfect!  It was a great success, and we did it together… Together came six businesses from the BizMom organization to create a birthday to remember for my little princess.

You may not be planning a birthday party but my guess is that you may be making some purchases outside of the organization simply because you haven’t really thought about it.  The next time you are at a chapter meeting or looking at the member profiles from the website, ask yourself, “Could I switch to that product?”  For example, I use cleaning products, and as long as they are natural, I really don’t care where they come from, so why would I buy from a super market when we have plenty of these natural cleaning products sold within the organization?  Wouldn’t you want them to think of your product or service when there is a need?  You certainly would, and I believe if you are a customer,  a reciprocation is all the more probable!
